The heist season is getting ready to begin, with Payday 3 releasing on Sep. 24. Developer Starbreeze Studios has been releasing new information ahead of the game’s open beta tomorrow like the new characters Joy and Pearl, but the developer has now given players a new look at the content coming in the first year after release.
While there are no hard and fast dates, the developer organizes the timelines by season, with the first update with a “Syntax Error” DLC in Winter 2023, “Boys in Blue” in Spring 2024, “The Land of the Free” in Summer 2024, and “Fear and Greed” in Fall 2024. At the same time, players can expect a range of seasonal events, new characters, skill lines, enemies, an Unreal 5 engine update, and more.
This announcement comes ahead of the open beta for Payday 3, which is happening on Sep. 8. Players will be able to hop into the beta on Xbox and PC via Steam, so make sure to request access ahead of the start tomorrow.
As with the previous title, Payday 3 will be a live-service title, likely to an even further extent. This means that players can expect fairly consistent updates and new DLC that will evolve the game for the next few years, at least. Players can expect a lot of information
