The newest Super Mario Bros. game, Wonder, is getting a lot of hype ahead of release thanks to its innovative take on the 2D side-scroller fans have come to love. Now, Nintendo has announced that it will be providing more information about the title at a dedicated Direct scheduled for Aug. 31 at 7 a.m. PT that will last around 15 minutes.
This dedicated Super Mario Bros. Wonder Nintendo Direct will likely show a new feature or two and the characters that players can play as in the title. It’s not a long Direct and players should only expect to see new gameplay from Super Mario Bros. Wonder, as opposed to more general Directs that showcase a range of titles in development from Nintendo.
The next Mario title from Nintendo was only announced as recently as a few months ago during a Direct covering a range of games. In typical style, the publisher seems to have preferred to wait until 48 hours before the showcase. With Super Mario Bros. Wonder releasing on Oct. 20, this showcase is also likely meant to build hype around the title.
Fans can watch the showcase on official Nintendo social media channels like YouTube and Twitch, with the developer likely to share a summary of anything big announced during it.
