Fortnite is one of the most popular brands in the world, managing to surpass every other battle royale on the market in longevity and size. Developer Epic Games has managed to bring a number of unique IPs into the title, with the latest rumored to be a new Nord skin inspired by The Elder Scrolls Online, which becomes free on Epic Games Store on July 20.
This reveal earlier this morning has led some of Fortnite‘s data miners to assume that the new TESO skin could be released alongside the game’s free status. This is just speculation, but the data miners are usually pretty spot-on with these estimations. Data miner ShiinaBR posted that the game would be free soon on the Epic Games Store, stating that this is most likely coinciding with the release date.
The character model that was leaked in the files as part of Fortnite‘s Summer Escape 2023 update looks to be a standard Nord race barbarian, fitted with armor that’s very reminiscent of The Elder Scrolls. The character will also likely have its own pickaxe and wrap, but we’ll have to wait until Epic officially unencrypts the files ahead of the release.
The Elder Scrolls Online recently received a large expansion with the Necrom update almost a month ago, with the game becoming free on the EGS on that month’s anniversary. Players won’t get access to any of the title’s updates. Instead, they’ll get the base version of the title and need to purchase any of the additional expansions as they reach them.
