The internal memo disclosed that Matt Booty, formerly the Head of Xbox Game Studios, has been promoted to President of Game Content and Studios, now entrusted with the added responsibility of overseeing ZeniMax. Meanwhile, Sarah Bond will now lead as President of Xbox, overseeing hardware works, player and creator experiences, platform engineering, strategy, business planning, data & analytics, and business development. Furthermore, Dave McCarthy will now take charge of business operations and the seamless integration of Activision Blizzard as the Chief Operations Officer for Microsoft Gaming.
Additionally, in a memo from Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, it was revealed that Chief Marketing Officer Capossela is stepping down to make way for Takeshi Numoto after 32 years of dedicated service. Satya Nadella expressed his excitement for Takeshi Numoto’s transition to the CMO role, highlighting his central role in the company’s Cloud transformation.
