Headup Publishing and Brainwash Gang have officially announced the release date of Laika: Aged Through Blood. This western-inspired single-player ‘motorvania’ is set to hit PC on October 19th, with releases for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S slated for a later date. Accompanying this announcement is a brand-new trailer, offering a closer look at its characters and gameplay.
Set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, Laika: Aged Through Blood tells the story of a tribe under the oppressive rule of occupant forces, and the personal story of a mother coyote warrior who descends on an endless path of vengeance to take back what her people have lost.
In this action-adventure Metroidvania, players will drive, jump, and fight their way through the huge hand-drawn world on their trustworthy motorbike. They will race through the wasteland and perform dangerous jumps, shoot enemies in slow-mo, and reload their guns by performing a backflip. Players will also harness skill-based power-ups to be successful in challenging battles against big and formidable bosses and fulfill other missions.
Laika: Aged Through Blood features intense vehicular combat on a fast and agile motorbike. It boasts a visually captivating hand-painted post-apocalyptic world. The game delves into the themes of a mother-daughter relationship, vengeance, and the enduring impact of loss, adding an emotional layer to the action-packed gameplay.
For fans eager to get a taste of the action, a demo version of the game is currently available on Steam. Additionally, the demo will receive updates next Monday as Laika: Aged Through Blood takes part in Steam Next Fest.
