There have been a lot of major labor shifts in recent months, with many in gaming either forming unions or deciding to leave the industry completely due to unfair working conditions. It’s now coming out that the developer of Gotham Knights, WB Games Montréal, has seen many of its leadership team resign for unknown reasons.
Former Executive Producer at WB Games Fleur Marty posted a thread on Twitter discussing her mixed feelings about leaving the developer. While she states she will miss her team and is excited about an upcoming opportunity, Marty is still angry that decisions were made that forced her to leave it behind. This follows others in major leadership positions also leaving the company.
While we don’t know for sure what caused such a major movement from the leaders of the project, it may have been a new game or direction that they disagreed with. Warner Bros. Montréal recently announced that it was working on a new title, with the team from Gotham Knights seemingly not wanting to be part of it.
